Our History
When Vincenzo decided to come back to Linguaglossa from the USA, more than a century ago, he had no doubts: his future would have been strongly connected to Mount Etna. And just like that, with the fortune built overseas, he decided to invest in the purchasing of land to grow his own farming business. Today Neri Agricola develops on more than 9 hectares of land, among 5 are vineyards and 4 are destined to olive groves. This land is divided between the contrada Arrigo and Borrigliona, at an altitude of 600meters above the sea level, on a terrain that has complex features, thanks to the volcanic soil and an important mineral component. The Neri family, now arrived at its 4th generation, has kept faith to the great-grandfather’s project, transmitting across generations the love for these volcanic lands, black and fertile, but also in the methodology used for the farming

Territory
By striving to respect the environment, the family has chosen to practice non-intensive organic farming and has decided to maintain manual harvesting of both grapes and olives, following tradition.
In these unique locations, the local olive variety "Nocellara dell'Etna" is cultivated along with native red grapes such as "Nerello Mascalese" and white grapes like "Carricante" and "Catarratto".
The extra virgin olive oil produced is characterized by a balanced profile and a refined fruity aroma. The two wines obtained from family grapes, Etna Rosso Doc and Etna Bianco Doc, express the characteristics of the great Etna terroir through an elegant bouquet and fresh, intense, harmonious taste enriched with pleasant mineral notes.
Our tasting experiences begin with a walk through the vineyards and olive groves, dominated by splendid views of Mount Etna. Guests are guided through the fields to understand the first phase of winemaking: the agricultural stage.
Subsequently, visitors will be shown an ancient palmento with barriques, where they'll live a unique sensory experience: a journey through the senses to discover wine's true essence. A short film projected in the palmento will open a window into our past and present reality. The wine aging process, which occurs in barriques, is accompanied by classical music, following family tradition.

Wine Tasting
Here you will be able to taste wine while listening to music, which by spreading sound waves at low frequency, improves its organoleptic qualities. In the end, the tasting experience is held in a living area, with huge windows that face the vineyard and an open-plan kitchen with a wood oven. We serve fresh bread made with a starter, cured meats and cheese and a selection of pickled vegetables, all products typical of the area that, together with the oil and the wine, highlight the enogastronomic richness of our territory. It is a journey to discover autentic Sicilian flavours. The wine tasting can be experienced every day, and reservation is mandatory.
